We understand that most of you fisherman come here to Cancun with your family and friends and not all of you have time to be away from them for a full day of fly fishing or the budget to do so. For those of you we also offer 4 hour or 6 hour fishing trips. We can go out at 6 am in the morning and be back at 10 am so you can spend the rest of the day with your family. The flats and rivers are never more than a 10 to 15 minute boat ride away so you’ll get plenty of shots at the species you want to target.
The main reason why people want to fly fish Isla Blanca is the outstanding Permit fishing. These elusive fish start to hit the flats from May through September and is considered one of the most challenging fish to catch on a fly rod. It is mainly flats fishing in the back country of Isla Blanca. Beautiful sand bottom flats only inches deep, great for a day of bone fishing or chasing Permit. Many people come back year after year to pursuit their dream by catching one of these stubborn and often spooky fish.
Most of the Cancun and Isla Blanca fly fishing and light tackle fishing that we offer is done sight fishing so you don’t have to worry that your guide parks the boat in the middle of the lagoon and tells you to start casting. He will pole the boat slowly over the salt water flats and in the rivers looking for rolling Tarpon, Snook along the mangroves and tailing Permit and Bonefish on the shallow flats. So if you want to go flats fishing in the Yucatan without staying at one the lodges, Cancun or Isla Blanca is the way to go!

Cancun Fly fishing or light tackle, Permit fishing or going with your 6 year old son after Snappers and Jacks, day time or night time we will make your Cancun fishing trip
an unforgettable experience.
Cancun fly fishing...from the Cancun Hotel Zone you do not have to travel far to find world class fly fishing and light tackle fishing. The “Nichupte Lagoon” in front of the Cancun Hotel Zone is home to a variety of saltwater game fish!
The lagoons of Cancun holds baby Tarpon and Snook year round and plenty of Jacks, Snappers, Barracudas and Ladyfish. In the summer months the Permit and Bonefish start to show up so the chance of a “ Grand Slam”( Tarpon, Bonefish, Permit) or “Super Slam” (Tarpon, Bonefish, Permit, Snook) is out there.
