in front of the Cancun Hotel Zone is home to a variety of saltwater game fish!
We
understand that most of you fishermen come here to Cancun with your family and friends
and not all of you have time to be away from them for a full day of fly fishing
or the budget to do so.
For those of you we also offer 4 hour or 6 hour fishing trips.
We can go out at 6 am in the morning and be back at 10 am so you can spend the rest
of the day with your family.
The flats and rivers in Cancun are never more than a 10 to 15
minute boat ride away so you’ll get plenty of shots at the species you want to target.
The main reason why people want to fly fish Isla Blanca is the outstanding Permit
fishing. These elusive fish start to hit the flats from May through September and
is considered one of the most challenging fish to catch on a fly rod.
It is mainly
flats fishing in the back country of Isla Blanca. Beautiful sand bottom flats only
inches deep, great for a day of bone fishing or chasing Permit.
Many people come
back year after year to pursuit their dream by catching one of these stubborn and
often spooky fish.
Cancun fishing is a year round event .The lagoons of Cancun hold baby Tarpon and
Snook year round and plenty of Jacks, Snappers, Barracudas and Ladyfish.
In the summer
months of Cancun fly fishing really picks up when the Permit and Bonefish start to
show up so the chance of a “ Grand Slam”( Tarpon, Bonefish, Permit) or “Super Slam”
(Tarpon, Bonefish, Permit, Snook) is out there.
