When you charter the boat you decide. We normally recommend a combination of the two. So if trolling is slow we pull up on the reef and let you go for groupers and snappers. However the decision is yours.
  • First look at the fishing calendar and come when the bill fish are here.
  • Second, take an 8 hour charter. You enhance your chances.
  • Third, tell the captain at check in that your main interest is billfish.
We use ballyhoo, mullet, and lures. We will vary the baits depending on the fish available at the particular time of year you go.
Game fish which are not edible (sailfish, and marlin) are released. If you want to mount a fish them, then those fish are brought in so we can send them off to be mounted.

The best fish for your dinner will be Dorado (Mahi Mahi,) Wahoo, King Mackerel, Spanish Mackerel, Snapper, and Grouper. Any of these will make for an unforgettable dinner.

Questions about the deep sea fishing boats:

When you reserve we will send you the directions of where to go from your hotel.
It depends on the boat. You will notice above the price of each boat the maximum number of passengers that that craft will accommodate.
Our captains and crew speak at least “fishing English.” The language will not be a problem.
Yes, all boats have a bathroom on board.
As far as fishing tackle is concerned you do not need to bring anything. We provide all tackle needed. We do recommend you bring a hat and sunglasses and sun block. Food is not provided, so you may want to bring a lunch or snacks.
Seasickness depends on the individual and the conditions of the sea the day you go fishing. We recommend that if you do not know if you get seasick that you take a commercial motion sickness medication or use the wrist bands or patches that go behind the ear. Why take a chance?

Questions about reservations and cancellations:

You can cancel any trip up to 24 hours before departure and only pay a 5% administrative processing fee. If the trip is canceled because the port is closed by the port captain due to weather then you will receive a 100% refund.
Yes. That is why we put the pictures of the boats and a list of equipment on the website. So you can choose and reserve what you want. Of course the further in advance you make your reservation the better the chance you will get the boat you want.
We will call you or email you and recommend a comparable boat before we charge your credit card and make your reservation.
Yes. The prices are accurate and complete meaning that there are no additional charges. At the end of the trip a tip is optional but generally a tip of 10% - 15% of the charter depending on how successful your crew was for you.
Once you send a reservation we confirm that there is the boat available for the day(s) you want. Then we charge your card the entire amount shown on the website. We then put a confirmation number on a coupon or voucher and send it to you in an email. You print it and that is your paid receipt for the tour. You present the coupon at check in.
Yes because you have a much better chance of getting the boat you want the less time that goes by before the departure. If there is no space available we will not charge your credit card but advise when the boat is available closest to the date you want or recommend an alternate boat of similar specifications. If you send in a reservation form without a credit card number inquiring about availability then we respond, and you respond, simply more time passes giving more time to fill up. Again once you are ready to reserve it is best to send your reservation with a credit card. Please remember no reservation is made until we have payment via your credit card or by other means.
